SHAH ALAM, 16 JAN: The State Government with the help of 12 Local Authorities (PBT) carried out ‘Road Patching Ops’ (Ops Tampal Jalan) on all roads in the whole of Selangor, including federal roads.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that from 1 January 2013 till 15 January 2013, over 56,624 square metres of damaged roads have been repaired throughout the state.

“A lot of work is still ongoing and will continue as long as complaints are received from the people of Selangor.

“This action demonstrates the State Government’s attentiveness seeing that previously, there were a lot of complaints and grievances towards roads which are affecting the comfort of the people.

“Therefore, the State Government carried out this operation, including repairing federal roads which should be repaired by the federal government,” he said in a press statement after chairing the Exco Meeting.

Besides that, the people of Selangor are encouraged to make reports by calling the toll free number 1-800-88-2824 and also contact lines provided by the respective local authorities.

Every one of these complaints will be dealt with promptly and will be recorded for further action.

“We hope that the people will take this opportunity to join together in helping the State Government improve the quality of public facilities for the comfort of us all,” added Abdul Khalid.
