“Persiaran Tujuan is the busiest main road in Subang Jaya apart from Persiaran Kewajipan.

“During peak hours, about seven (thousand) to 10,000 vehicles will use this road because this road is also a shortcut to Kuala Lumpur and Puchong. Therefore, the safety of the residents and schoolchildren is rather worrisome,” she said when met at the construction location.

In relation to that, she hopes that parents give their full cooperation so as to not stop their vehicles at the side of the road to send and fetch their children from school after the construction is completed.

Meanwhile, USJ13 Rukun Tetangga representatives Wilymn Lee, 53, said that a minor accidents have occurred there however, so far, such accidents did not involve children from the school in USJ13.

“All these while I have been concerned for the safety of students. Some students cycle across this road, so with this footbridge, perhaps students will no longer have to use bicycles.

“We are grateful that after waiting so long, we finally obtained this footbridge. With the construction, it will be able to ensure that these students cross the street safely,” he said.
