Kajang By-Election Early Voting Went Smoothly

KAJANG, 19 Mar: The early voting process for the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) by-election went smoothly here at the Kajang District Police Headquarters (IPD) today.

The polling station opened around 8am, with 691 registered voters comprising of police officers carrying out their voting responsibilities.

The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail, visited the polling centre around 9.15am, while the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, arrived earlier around 8.30am.

A total of 1,197 registered voters cast their votes today.

The by-election early voting took place at the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hall at the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) College in Cheras and the RMP Anjung Forensik Hall.

The Kajang by-election will see a straight fight between Pakatan Rakyat and BN, which will take place on 23 March.
