Household income of RM4,000 a month can be done

SHAH ALAM, 26 May: The Selangor Government’s target for every household in the state to earn a per capita income of RM4,000 a month by 2018 is not merely a dream.

This is because the State Government has studied and carried out careful planning before implementing various assistance programmes to realise the aspirations of the State Government.

“We want to increase the people’s income from a minimum of RM1,500 to RM4,000. Is this just a dream? No.

“The conditions would be for the government to provide the infrastructure, environment and a good system towards that direction.

“We have seen the impact of the studies conducted. It has been found that the industry with the most potential is the services industry, as well as nurseries that can be labelled as industries,” said Rodziah.

Rodziah said this during the Child Development Intensive Course (KIPK) closing ceremony here at Intekma Resort yesterday.

However, Rodziah added, the goal would be hard to achieve is no cooperation is given by those involved.

Earlier, at the same event, the Chief Operating Officer of Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd, Kamsani Nasir, suggested for KIPK participants to publicise the various MES schemes to the community.

“We want it to be like a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) system. Tell four people, then they tell four more and it continues to grow,” he said.

Meanwhile, 29 participants were involved in the KIPK programme organised by the Selangor State Government Executive Council, in collaboration with Rantaian Mesra and the Wawasan Training Centre.

A night to provide exposure to nursery services was held during the two-day programme, thus making the service more viable and lucrative.
