MiMBAR encourages trader’s success, provides continues motivation

SHAH ALAM, 29 May: The Selangor Urban Poor Micro-Credit (MiMBAR) programme continues to appreciate participants who are successful in their businesses through the Selangor MiMBAR Success Story programme.

The MiMBAR Chairman of the Promotion and Events Department, Hafizatul Akma Othman, said that the Selangor MiMBAR is more focused on monitoring their participants this year.

“Many MiMBAR participants still lack motivation in their businesses. Therefore, MiMBAR hopes that this programme will provide motivation to these small businesses to be successful,” she said.

For the first time, the Selangor MiMBAR chose a cake and bread operator, Arbaiyah Ahmad, 47, as the excellent participant from the Shah Alam zone.

“Arbiy-bakery is the first participant chosen based on evaluation and marking in terms of her business, which has expanded, and her changed social life and consistent re-payment,” she said.

The Selangor MiMBAR appreciates the contribution of its participants by upgrading shops and increasing business equipment needed by participants.

30 Selangor MiMBAR participants were present for the success of the programme with ‘Arbiy-Bakery’, which is located at Section 17.

Meanwhile, Arbiyah said that she began her business at home and now, who would have thought that her business has developed as a result of programmes and courses provided by MiMBAR.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy and grateful when chosen as a Selangor MiMBAR participant who has excelled. In my opinion, MiMBAR helps small business owners continue in their busineses,” she said.

Also present at the programme was the MiMBAR Senior Operating Manager, Tuan Syed Putra; the Member of Parliament for Shah Alam, Khalid Samad, and the Executive Councillor for Welfare, Rodziah Ismail.
