Pengkalan Kubor by-election creates record

SHAH ALAM, 25 Sept: The Election Commission reported that the percentage of voters went out to vote during the Pengkalan Kubor by-election is very high in the first four hours.


As of 12pm just now, the percentage of voter turnout reached 54 percent, or 12,945 voters. In fact, from as early as 10 am, 6,618 voters fulfilled their responsibilities.

According to the EC, this percentage is the best compared to some other by-elections after the 13th General Election.

A total of 11 polling centres were open from 8 am, awaiting 23,929 valid voters.
