CM: Selangorku Homes to focus on urban areas, 40,000 applications received

KLANG, 20 Mar: Selangorku Homes will be built in urban areas to meet the high demand of buyers working in urban areas.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that of the 40,000 applications received, 96 percent applied for houses in the Klang Valley.

“So we are building it to meet this urgent demand,” he said in front of over 500 attendees.

He said this at the Bandar Bukit Raja Selangorku Homes Launch and Registration Ceremony.

Also present was the Exco for Housing, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, and the Managing Director of Sime Darby Property (SDP), Datuk Seri Abdul Wahab Maskan.

At the same time, Mohamed Azmin reiterated the state government’s commitment to provide affordable housing for the people of Selangor.

“Among the incentives we are providing includes reducing the land premium rate from 25 to only 10 percent, excluding development charges and a density of 120 units per acre.

“In fact, we also have a special committee chaired by Datuk Iskandar that will give immediate approval to applications for the construction of affordable housing in a maximum of two months,” he added.

There are 2,403 units of the Bandar Bukit Raja Selangorku Homes units with prices starting from RM150,000 to RM250,000.
