UMNO-BN has made the rakyat suffer with GST. How many of us need to scale down on our spending just because of the GST? Even a cup of kopi at a warung costs about RM1 when previously it was only RM0.70 – RM0.80.
It is no point blaming the coffee shop owner for raising the price when all the ingredients and other costs have gone up. The problem is with UMNO and Najib. Even Tun Dr. Mahathir is against the GST.
How can UMNO BN let the rakyat suffer while they themselves enjoy a good quality life? Najib’s daughter’s wedding is an example.
Even his guests attended the wedding by flying the helicopter. A vote for the BN candidate is a vote for extravagance. A vote for the BN candidate is a vote for GST. A vote for BN candidate is a vote for ‘penindasan rakyat’.
We need to solve this problem. If Suhaimi goes to parliament, he will be in favour of the GST and be a rubber stamp for other UMNO-BN-based policies. We need a stronger opposition voice in the parliament.
We need enough leaders to protest and debate against the oppressive bills that are being forced upon the rakyat.
We need to remember that just earlier this month UMNO-BN pushed through the Anti-Terrorism Bill and also tried to push for amendments to the Retirement Fund Bill.
If there are not enough opposition leaders in Parliament, everything will just be approved without the rakyat’s knowledge. Is this what we want?
The BN’s candidate tagline ‘Melakar Sejarah Baru’ is nothing new. UMNO-BN has been in power for 57 years and they only know how to ‘menindas rakyat’.
It is simply repackaging old wine in a new bottle. People are sick of empty promises and high living costs. Retain Keadilan’s Permatang Pauh seat in Parliament. Kak Wan is our Ibu Reformasi. She will lead the way to great changes in the country.
