KUALA LUMPUR, 30 Aug: A new pro-Pakatan party will be officially announced tomorrow, said the former PAS Deputy President, Mohamad Sabu, on the Bersih 4.0 main stage at Dataran Merdeka today.
“Tonight, we will celebrate independence, and so will I and other friends in Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB) because we will be independent tomorrow.
“We will announce the new party that will work with Pakatan and all NGOs involved tomorrow,” he said.
The remaining 30 minutes before the anniversary of the 58th Merdeka, Mohamad congratulated all participants of the rally that managed to make history by peacefully gathering for the longest period.
“Merdeka is not an Umno celebration, Merdeka is the people’s celebration. Strive to be independent from a corrupt government, Congratulations on your perseverance in coming together,” he said.
