Strengthen unity, maintain racial harmony

AMPANG, JUL 31: Organising Open House events which is a common practice in Selangor can be the platform to strengthen unity and maintain racial harmony.

Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, the unity can guarantee the State Government’s success which will eventually lead to the success of the state and its economic growth.

“This is because the open houses are not just attended by the Muslims but also by the India and Chinese community.

“This state consists of various races and cultures but with a clear spirit and principles, the State Government is able to guarantee a solid unity,” he said at the Chempaka State Legislative Assembly, Dato’ Iskandar Abdul Samad’s  Open House yesterday at the Padang Perbandaran Ampang Jaya.

At the same time, Mohamed Azmin described the economic stimulus programme which is also being implemented as providing the best services to the citizens and developing the state.

“Hopefully, the unity and harmony that we are enjoying will lead to more success for us in the future,” he said.

Public invited to 9 open houses in Sementa constituency

KAPAR, JUL 23: Sementa State Legislative Assembly Community Service Office took advantage of the Syawal month to hold nine open houses at nine villages in the area.

Sementa Assemblyman Dr Daroyah Alwi said such events strengthened relationships amongst the people, regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.

“We have eight more open houses later at the villages in the constituency.

“I hope the villagers will come together so we could get to know each other and strengthen the relationship among us,” said Dr Daroyah.

She said this at Sementa Constituency’s Joint Open House with Kapar Village Security and Development Committee near Al-Ansar Mosque, the previous evening during the open house.

Meanwhile, the open house was attended by nearly 1,000 people who started arriving since late afternoon.

In addition to giving ‘duit raya’ to children, food stamps were also distributed to 100 recipients present.
