People Of Ijok Appreciates Selangor Government Welfare Programmes

KUALA SELANGOR, 23 Mar: The State Government’s continuous commitment in organising Welfare programmes for the people of Selangor over the past five years has been very much appreciated.

Duah Mohamad, 63, who lives in Bestari Jaya said that as a Selangor citizen, he is very proud of the State Government which is seen to be transparent and sincere in administering the state.

“The wisdom of the government is not only profitable to the state, but the people can also experience the riches of this state after the people have been denied of the rights they are entitled to.

“I hope that the government can maintain this commitment so that Selangor will progress further while the people also feel happy and secure,” said the civil servant when met at the ‘Jom Shopping’ (Let’s Go Shopping) programme in the Ijok constituency this morning.

Meanwhile, Sabariah Lokman, 69, hopes that more welfare programmes can be organised for the benefit of the people.

“We appreciate the efforts of the State Government and we are grateful, but if there can be more or improved programme, we as the people would welcome it.

“Currently, even essentials are expensive, so welfare programmes (like this) helps a lot, especially those less fortunate,” said the grandmother of 18 grandchildren.

Earlier, a total of 120 senior citizens aged 60 and above from Ijok participated in the Jom Shopping Programme at the Slam Jaya Econsave Supermarket here.

The Chief Minister, who is also the Ijok Assemblyman, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, also took the opportunity to mingle with the participants of the shopping programme.
