4,038 jemaah Selangor terpilih tunai haji

SHAH ALAM, 24 JULAI: Seramai 4,038 jemaah haji di Selangor terpilih menunaikan ibadah haji tahun ini.

Pengarah Tabung Haji Selangor, Syawal Abong, berkata bakal haji mula berangkat ke tanah suci dengan penerbangan bermula 4 Ogos dan berakhir 5 September depan.

Katanya, bakal haji Selangor tahun ini kebanyakkannya terdiri daripada bakal haji yang pertama kali menunaikan ibadah haji.

“Daripada 22,320 bakal haji, seramai 4,038 daripada Selangor dan majoritinya adalah jemaah yang pertama kali menunaikan haji.

“Ia juga membabitkan 47 penerbangan keseluruhan daripada Malaysia,” katanya ketika ditemui selepas Kursus Perdana Haji musim 1437/2016M.

Kursus dianjurkan Tabung Haji bermula 15 Julai hingga 31 Julai diadakan secara berperingkat di seluruh negara.

DYMM Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah berkenan mencemar duli menyempurnakan penutup kursus.

Hadir sama, Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali dan Pengarah Urusan dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif TH, Datuk Johan Abdullah.

Sementara itu, bagi Noraida Mohd Noor, 48, menyuarakan rasa gembira kerana terpilih ke tanah suci ketika umur yang masih muda.

Katanya, beliau tidak menyangka terpilih selepas menunggu sejak 2007.

“Tak sangka terpilih jika ikut tawaran tahun depan baru dapat..Alhamdulillah terpilih awal.

“Untuk persiapan tinggal sedikit sahaja lagi. Saya dan suami akan berlepas ke tanah suci pada 7 Ogos depan,” katanya yang berasal dari Semenyih.

Beliau berharap diberikan kesihatan cukup untuk mengerjakan rukun Islam yang kelima itu.

“Ini kali pertama saya untuk ke tanah suci. Umrah pun saya tidak pernah sampai. Saya sangat berdoa untuk diberikan kesihatan yang cukup dan dipermudahkan segala urusan,” katanya.

SHAH ALAM, JUL 24: A total of 4,038 people from Selangor have been selected to perform the Hajj this year.

Tabung Haji Selangor Director Syawal Abong said they will be flown to the holy land, beginning Aug 4 until Sep 5.

He added that most of them are going to perform the pilgrimage for the first time.

“From the total of 22,320 Hajj pilgrims this year, 4,038 are from Selangor and the majority are performing Hajj for the first time.

“There are a total of 47 flights from Malaysia,” he said when met after the Hajj course, Kursus Perdana Haji Musim 1437/2016M.

The course was organised by Tabung Haji from July 15 until 31, and conducted throughout the country in stages.

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah assented to address the pilgrims at the closing of the course.

Also present were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Tabung Haji Chief Executive Officer Datuk Johan Abdullah.

Meanwhile, Noraida Mohd Noor, 48, expressed her happiness at being selected to perform the pilgrimage at a young age.

She did not expect to be selected this year after being on the waiting list since 2007.

“It was unexpected as according to the bid I should be selected next year. Praise to Allah, I have been chosen earlier.

“There is just a bit more preparation left. My husband and I will be leaving next Aug 7,” said Noraida who is from Semenyih.

She hopes to be granted and blessed with good health in order to complete the fifth pillar in Islam.

“This is the first time that I am going to the holy land. I have not even performed the Umrah before. I pray that I will be granted good health and ease in all affairs,” she said.
